Agriturismo near San Querico d’Orcia

We have four friends, all in their 70’s, who are traveling to Italy for their first time and we have been tasked with helping them plan the trip. Our usual “go to” agriturismo in the Val d’Orcia is sadly not available. So, we are looking for relatively recent recommendations for an agriturismo or small hotel near San Querico as that would be a great location for them to make day trips to places such as Montalcino, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, etc…. They will have a car. Any suggestions out there? Thanks in advance.

The years are passing so quickly that my recommendations are becoming dated. My husband and I had an excellent stay at Podesta Spedalone, near Pienza, but it's been a number of years. Breakfasts and the dinner we had there were memorable. Quiet and out of the way, but easy access to roadways for day trips, and we had a nice pastoral view from our window. A friend and I stayed at Agriturismo Marciano, near Siena, in 2018, and enjoyed a fun cooking class and wine tasting and a tour of the vineyard. The room was large and comfortable. It was close enough to Siena that we walked into town one day (because I was too intimidated to drive the narrow road more frequently than necessary ).

Are they interested in an AirBnB house within walking distance to the center of San Quirico D'Orcia? We are staying in one at the end of April. It has great reviews and I can report from personal experience after our own stay.

They might be but I know they would need two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as parking as one of them can’t walk very far. Do you have the Air BnN link? Thanks.

Perhaps not exactly near San Quirico, but more like halfway between San Quirico and Siena, we stayed last spring at Casa Vacanze San Pierino (Google Maps link).

Aside from the incredible value for the price, it's peaceful, spacious, surrounded by nature, and has all the amenities one would need. I still remember cooking dinner with local ingredients and enjoying it outside under the incredible hues of the setting sun. The host is super kind, and there’s also a pool, although I’m not sure if that’s something you’re looking for.
