Barge cruises

We’ve never been to France but was interested as something more to do and I came across a company Croisi Europe Cruises. Seems they have barge cruises as well as other types. Does anyone have any comments regarding this type of cruise? We’re looking at a shorter duration- maybe 4-6 nights. We will be in Provence Or Burgundy for a cruise starting point September/October.

We've been thinking about doing this for several years, but never wind up doing it. We've met a couple of the owners of the below company at travel shows & they seem to be very good at it. Thank you! The cruise is for very small groups (4-12people) therefore making it a little more expensive($7k) per person. Would be great for a family reunion!

I think Rick did a TV show on barge touring in France. It looked really interesting and my wife and I thought we would do something like that, but we have just never followed up.

We just booked with Croisi Europe for a barge trip to the Ouise Valley, north of Paris, for next May. We are a group of 12 friends and booked this one because the barge has 11 cabins. I've done a lot of research and this company seems the most reasonably priced and so far they've been teriffic even offering us early booking discounts, which wasn't on their website. I spoke to a few people who've done barging and one couple have gone back 6 times, they love it so much
