I'm traveling to Bari in a few weeks and I don't speak any Italian at all. So can you pls tell me the following:
  • Is it possible to navigate through the city with no knowledge of the Italian language?
  • How will you be treated by locals if you don't speak Italian?
 
We flew into Bari last month and spent a week in Puglia but did not go into Bari. This area is popular with tourists and the hotels probably have English speaking staff. You will be able to find your way around easily enough. Italians in general are friendly and you will find English speakers but try to learn some basics before you go.

For restaurants bring a menu translator. This is a good app:

How to Find Information
