BREAKING: Rail STRIKE Tomorrow November 5

Italian media has just announced an unexpected rail strike for tomorrow November 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Italy time.

Italian labor unions have called this strike on account of a serious incident today at 13:30 near Genova, when a ticket controller on a regionale train was seriously injured by a passenger without a ticket who knifed him on the platform after having been directed to alight from the train. The attacker, a 21-year old foreigner, was later arrested together with his 16-year old girlfriend, who participated in the attack.
