Flights Dinner served on late flights?

When we leave for Europe from Toronto, our flight is usually around 8:00pm. In May, we're travelling to Naples via Paris, but our flight will be much later, at 11:15pm! I'm wondering if generally speaking, dinner is served on overseas flights that leave THAT late! I mean, for most people, it's practically time to go to bed. Or do they just serve a small snack and a drink?

If it's on a legacy (long-established) airline, I'd expect them to serve a full meal, although more people may turn it down. Some budget airlines may charge for the meal.

Probably best to ask the airline, as they may pare back the meal to something light, or go ahead with a full meal.

I just flew across the u.s. On American leaving at 10:30 and only drinks were served, in coach at least.

Each airline can have its own policy. As Ian stated, it is best to check with your airline. It also can make a difference if you are in Coach or Business/First Class. ;)
