Doge's Palace Secret Itineraries

I see several sites selling "skip-the-line" tickets for about 55 to 60 euro.
However I can also purchase a tour (at a specific time) from this museum website, which I believe may be the website for Doge's Palace, for 15 euro (over 65).

I don't see any advantage to a "skip-the-line" ticket, when you can purchase a specific time slot.
Am I missing something? Maybe after the secret itineraries tour, you need to wait in the long line to see the Palace?

When we took the Secret Itineraries tour, we came out in the middle of the palace with no wait to see the main exhibition rooms.

Yes. If you book the tour you DO skip the line. Just walk right up to the front with your (printed) confirmation. I have done the secret Itineraries tour twice and it was quite different but the first one was about 10 years before the second. Definitely worth it!

If you book the Secret Itineraries online (on the Doges Palace website), you do skip the line already. And it is a tour with a guide. It is not a tour where you roam by yourself.
Therefore I don't think you need to sign up for a most expensive skip-the-line tour.

We have taken the secret itineraries tour several times, repeats only because we had people traveling with us who had not seen the palace. We would definitely NOT repeat the Doge's Hidden Treasures tour. Yes, there were parts of the palace one doesn't see on the usual trip through but we didn't think they were that unique.
