Dolomites in September

Hi everyone! We are planning a trip to the Dolomites in Italy in September of 2022, staying in Castelrotto. Does anyone have photos of the hiking trails that were taken in September? Most of the photos we see are from Spring or early Summer. We'd like to know what to expect when we visit this bucket list destination. Thanks!

I have not hiked in the Dolomites in September (or ever) but have hiked in Switzerland and the French Alps in September. The weather is usually good - sunny and not too hot. The summer storms are usually in August.

One thing to look at is services for hikers - mountain rides, buses to get to the trails. Check the opening dates on the tourist office website. I was surprised when we got to Samoens in the French Alps in September a few years ago that their one mountain ride closed at the end of the school holidays. We still had a good week of hiking but with more uphill than we had planned.
