Help Needed Early, early Morning Flight From Florence

We have n very early morning flight out of Florence, We will be staying near Greve just before, but are looking for an accommodation at/near the airport the night before so we can practically roll out of bed to make the flight. Any suggestions?

The Starhotels Tuscany on Via di Novoli is very close to the T2 tram line (Novoli - Regione Toscana stop) which takes you directly to the airport in 7 minutes. Trams run to the airport at 5:15 and 5:26 a.m. (and every 11 minutes thereafter). Fare is 1.50 Euros. Or you can book a taxi when you check in.

You can reach the Starhotels Tuscany from the Florence S.M.N. train station (Alamanni stop) by the same T2 tram which goes to the airport in just 13 minutes. Trams run every 6-11 minutes. No need to take a taxi.

I should add that we will have a rental car which will need to be dropped off at the airport, in case that makes a difference in any advice.

You can drop the car at the airport, then take the T2 tram (street car) to the Starhotels Tuscany (7 minutes, 1.50 Euros), which runs every 6-11 minutes. The next morning, you can take the same street car back to the airport, starting at 5:15 a.m.

Bear in mind that you could just as easily spend the night in central Florence (not far from the S.M.N. train station), where you would have a better experience, then take the first morning street car back to the airport at 5:00 a.m., which gets you to the airport at 5:22 a.m. If that is not early enough, you can always take a taxi for a fixed rate of 25.30 Euros, plus 1 Euro for each piece of luggage (except small items of carry-on). The additional travel time to the airport compared to staying at the Starhotels Tuscany is only 15 minutes by street car.

We’ve stayed at Villa Aruch a wonderful B n B numerous times plus it’s located about a 2 min drive just outside the airport . Check out their website!
