Fragrance-Free Vacation Rentals Please!

A subject that I care deeply about is the overuse of fragrances. We think they make things smell nice, but they are full of chemicals that are not good to us or the environment. Perfume, after shave, soaps, laundry soap, cleaning products all contain synthetic fragrances that make some of us (me) feel ill.

I did a blog post about this issue directing it towards vacation rental owners, asking them to make their vacation rentals fragrance-free.

Maybe we could all share fragrance free referrals. Mine in Rome is a couple of blocks from the castro pretoria metro stop. No pics just an e mail marcelloang@yahoo.com He'll be happy to quote prices and definitely is fragrance free except for laundry soap which is impossible to find in Italy without scent.

For me laundry soap is the worse. I honestly don't understand this "fragrant" business. I was sitting at an outdoor cafe in Oxford and I swear I smelled laundry soap or softener or whatever wafting over the area from someone's dryer. Ugh!
I guess the only way to find out if a rental is fragrant free is to ask. I think it's so prevalent that people don't even know they're using the stuff. in parts of Canada.

Many public places at home state they are fragrant free and ask people to refrain from using perfume. But department and grocery stores assault the senses immediately.
