I am glad to be back to slowtrav as I left this site along with the old web design for it. Those were the days, my friend... But I am back now and very glad about it.
We are going to Vienna in September for 10 days and I am wondering if I can manage both Salzburg and Prague as my extra. My husband will stay in Vienna (we rented an apt.), he doesn't want to travel to and fro. Salzburg is a must for me but I also contemplate Prague as I know I will never return since we mostly travel to Italy and France. I will go to Salzburg on my own by train.
As for Prague then I don't know what is better for a solo traveler: to take an organized day tour (I am not a fan of any excursions though but can tolerate) or to go on my own and spend a night at a hotel in the Old Town and then come back to Vienna late afternoon. If this is going to be my choice then I will certainly need your advice on modest accommodation in the very center of Prague for one night.
I welcome your opinion, many thanks.
