Good food near Arsenale?

I have one day in Venice -- Any suggestions for where to eat (lunch/aperitivo/dinner).near the Arsenale?

(I'm only going for the Biennale and have been to Venice a bunch of times, so I am really just looking for somewhere good relatively nearby.)

Al Covo isn't super close but maybe an option.

If you happen to be there in September, consider also seeing Homo Faber. We went to the previous 2 instances of this and it was very good.

I was just about to book Al Covo! And thanks for the rec - I will be there in September and will check it out.

Take a look at Trattoria da Jonny. We ate there 2 years ago and were very pleased with it. There was a table of 6 gondelieri sitting near us.

Paolo's is directly across from the Arsenale. The food there was always good though it has been a few years since I was there. Or head to Via Garibaldi. Lots of places along there.
