Help me choose where to go

I have unexpectedly got 5 days off towards the end of this month and thought I’d like to go away, I live in the uk so as short travel as possible while still going abroad would be great, I would be travelling solo so somewhere with plenty to do would be excellent thank you

Your profile says “I’ve travelled to Germany and the Canary Islands, currently looking for somewhere to go this summer”. Based on that, and if you like cities, I would say Paris. Take the train from London and spend your 5 days there.

It all depends on what things you are interested in. Cities or countryside? What places seem interesting to you? Food, art, sport?

Yeah I like all of the above really, Paris might be a shout, wouldn’t hurt to see a bit of culture too, like cities for sure I’ve been to Berlin and Frankfurt and I enjoyed both a lot, I live in the countryside so that’s not that high on the list for me personally

Or Rome. It is a 2.5 hour flight to Rome. It gets hot there in summer so check the weather first. Italy is very different from other European countries IMO.

Yes, I will suggest Paris as it is a wonderful place and you will get plenty of things to do over there. Even there are some nice events that you can enjoy. I also would suggest you to opt for the HOHO bus tour on some day to have a glance at some places that you are thinking will not be able to cover in this tour period.
