Isola d'Elba in general, Marina di Campo to be specific

Any thoughts on Elba for Early September? A friend stayed in Marina di Campo and said it is gorgeous. We love the beach and cute little towns but generally not the super touristy ones! Would love to hear from those who have been. It'll be me and husband plus 13 y/o daughter.

We loved Elba. That is a beautiful small town.
