ITA Feedback Please

I tried searching, but can't find any threads about ITA Airways. I'm wondering if they're an option for us this fall. If we can fly from Louisville directly and cheaply, we might be able to book a cheaper flight directly out of a larger hub. I see ITA flies to Rome out of Atlanta and Chicago, maybe NYC, but the logistics don't work for us at all. ATL or ORD would be easy connections. Any feedback? TIA

I haven't flown them; I gather they're similar to the old Alitalia. From what I see, they don't have their own flights out of Atlanta: they have codeshares operated by Delta. Delta works fine in the current climate of airline service: not great service, but they have an advantage when they go the most directly from our starting point.

just saw this thread, so not sure if you have already made your arrangements, but we flew ITA a couple of years ago and everything about the flight was great! it worked out that it was more reasonably priced than the Delta-operated flights. we wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

ITA is my first choice for flying between Italy and the States. They are expanding their footprint and provide excellent onboard meals on the Italy-US route. (US to Italy has typical American airplane food) Cabin staff is friendly and helpful, going out of their way to provide accommodations.
