London taxi phone number

Travel for London lists 4 different numbers/names for the official black cabs in London.

Is there a preferred number?

One Number sounds like it might be a consolidator of Computer Cab, Dial A Taxi and Radio Cab?

If you're renting a flat, then there should be an information book in your apartment with the best cab number for your area. I'd ask the person from whom you're renting.

Surely you will not have problems, there are many taxis in London. Ask at hotel reception. I have used Radio Cab for many years.

In general I'd say there wouldn't be problems, though I understand there were when Uber had their licence revoked. I presume things have settled down again now, but for a while it was apparently quite difficult to get a cab.

I have not been in London for a long time, I did not know this. Public transport is very well organized.
