Interesting article in The Guardian today about 3 new long distance trails in Calabria.

The trails are based on the life of St Francis of Paola, patron saint of Paola on the Calabrian coast. Baggage handling is offered for some trails. Here is their website (in Italian).

The first route runs for 30 miles in three stages, from the Roman town of San Marco Argentano south to Paola.
The second route runs for 39 miles, again in three stages, from Paterno to Paola.
The third route just opened, 84 miles (135km) in six stages from Paola to Corigliano-Rossano, on Calabria’s Ionian coast, linking three monasteries founded by Francis.
