Some Rome metro stations closed through spring 2019

Just a quick heads up for visitors to Rome in spring 2019 who want to use some popular metro stops.
The city's transportation agency ATAC has closed three metro stations on the popular tourist stretch between the Termini railway station and Piazza del Popolo.
That means Repubblica, Barberini (Trevi Fountain) and Spagna (Spanish Steps) metro stops are now closed.
Repubblica has been closed since an accident last October involving an escalator; and concerns about a similar type of escalator is apparently why Barberini has closed.
No idea how long this will continue but if you're in Rome and intend to use the metro, better find alternatives for those stops!

Cheers,
Sandra
