Train from Oslo to Stockholm?

Callie

We're heading to Scandinavia this spring and want to take the train from Oslo to Stockholm. There are two high speed trains/day and that would be our preference. However, I have stumbled on several comments on various sites about how bad these trains are - frequently late, trouble during the trip with long delays, etc. The comments I have found are from 2015, 16 and 17, not very current.

Does anyone know if these trains are reasonably reliable now? I don't care if they arrive 30 minutes late, but I don't want to sit in the middle of the countryside for 2 hours in a train.

Thanks.

I would say they are reasonable reliable. However there is reasons for why people are complaining about them. I also think the trains is expensive on these routes. Why not take a bus instead. On Flixbus you only have to pay 229skr(about 22$) for a similar trip. check it out on flixbus.com
