Information Venice 2025 Access Registration: the online portal is now live

As many of you probably already know, on select dates in 2025, all visitors to Venice will need to register for a QR access code - even if they are exempt from paying the access fee, such as those with booked accommodations.

The online portal for registration is now up and running: https://cda.ve.it/en/

Although there are ongoing discussions between the city of Venice and various accommodations to streamline the process - allowing guests to receive the QR code directly from their hosts - so far, visitors still need to register for it themselves.

From my experience using the portal so far, here are a couple of things to note when applying for an exemption:
  • If you have multiple consecutive accommodations, you’ll need to apply separately for each, resulting in multiple QR codes.
  • You can bypass the tedious birthday selector popup by simply typing your date of birth in the DD/MM/YYYY format. For example, March 23, 2009, can be entered as 23/03/2009. It works perfectly, and the system still validates the date.
Hope this helps!
