Agropoli (SA)

I'd agree with this. We spent several trips just down the coast from Agropoli in Castellabate. Not been back for nearly a decade, but the food everywhere there was always excellent, and very reasonable.

We spent two weeks in Calabria last September/early October, from Reggio up the Tirrhenian coast, then over to Praialonga and back down the Ionian coast. As with Basilicata, the food and lodging were quite inexpensive compared with the north. Even Tropea, probably the priciest spot in the region, was reasonable in cost. Lovely people, great food, great weather--we would certainly return.
