$12,000 homes in Italy

"Carrega Ligure in northern Italy and Latronico in the deep south have created online platforms where buyers can view photos, maps and details of old abandoned buildings on sale and get directly in touch with the owner."

Not that this is relevant to me, but it's always nice looking at these places. However, I found no such "platform" to see the properties. The closest I could find was :

The little shown there is not appealing to say the least, and there is not much info presented. Prices are lacking as well.

We've traveled in that area, the region itself is certainly beautiful and inviting.

20 years ago I read about a village in Liguria, up in the mountains, where they were bringing back to life an abandoned village. At that time it was a big deal that they were bringing in Internet. Years later I saw they were offering holiday rentals. That part of Italy is such a great location, close to France and Switzerland. I’ll see if I can find it in my notes.

The "deep south". Again. :inpain:

There are village homes all over Italy for under 24,000 euro, habitable and cozy, but glad the Latronico database was well done. It's a spa town and at the gateway to the Pollino National Park.
