Apartment in Verona

Next April/May we plan to return to Venice for 3 weeks and would also like to return to Verona -- haven't been there since 2000. I know several of you love Verona -- you especially, Jan. I read that you've stayed at least a couple of times in Licia's apartments (veronajourneys.com) and wonder which one you'd recommend. Also, is the term "center" used in her apartment descriptions sufficient, or should we be looking for a more specific location, like the Arena? Would love suggestions from all of you who have stayed in an apartment in Verona. Thanks and aloha, Ann

Hi, Ann. I just saw your post because we have been traveling. I suggest that you write to Licia and ask the address or the street name. She is a pleasure to work with. Tell her you are my friend, for sure.
We stayed in both her own, 2 bedroom apt,on via Emilie, and a 1 bedroom on Via Catullo. (These may be misspellings)
Neither on had any view to speak of but were well equipt and very comfortable.
Feel free to ask me anything about the locations.

I really thing anywhere in the center would be fine--no need to be right near the Arena.

Thanks, Jan, I will email Licia soon. Is this by any chance the apt. you stayed in -- http://veronajourneys.com/eng/la-dimora-del-viandante.html? I picked it and after your reply noticed that it's on Via Catullo. Thanks for your help!

Just noticed that the above apt. seems to be outside the city center, which is not what we want. And there is a Via Catullo in the center of Verona, so that may be where you stayed.

Yes, that's the one!
On google maps look for via Valerio Catullo. It's a perfect location, right in the center. The apt. is on the small side but very modern and clean. It is right above the fabulous bakery Dolce Locanda and the smells wafting up are a real treat.

Jan, the map for the apt. I linked above shows it outside the city center, on a Via Catullo but not Via Valerio Catullo in the center near the bakery. We definitely want to be in the center since we won't have a car. Thanks for your help, and aloha, Ann
