Dennis Severs' House - London

Just wanted to echo an earlier post recommending odd museums in London to say that we really loved our visit to Dennis Severs' House. It is a home which has been maintained as though it were still the home of a family of Huguenot silk-weavers and follows their fortunes from 1724 up to the start of the 20th Century. It is small, atmospheric and gives a whole different appreciation of what the day-to-day lives of Londoners has been like through the ages. Highly recommended! Accessible by a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Tube Station. We went at dusk and thought that was great time to visit. Reservations are needed. You knock on the door at your agreed upon time as though you were actually calling on the family. For more info, visit their website.

Thanks for this report. I had been reading about the Dennis Severs House, and thought we'd enjoy it. Now it's on the list for our trip in September!
