I've been thinking about our 2015 trip to England. So far we've got an initial period in London, followed by a few nights in Bath, then to the Cotswolds with a rental car for (at least!) a full week. I'd like a day or 2 at then end for London, but also wanted something else. The Lake District was/is a possibility, but then I read an article about barges/canal boats in various countries and I thought "THAT'S IT!"
So, what do you think? Has anyone here ever done that? AND - would any of you be interested in joining us? I know nothing about this, so I have lots of research to do. I don't know how many people these boats hold, what they cost, or what the standard rental period is! I'm assuming that we are fit enough and smart enough to do what needs to be done, but we're certainly not very mechanical, but Art has driven boats - back when he was a teenager!
