Mark, I believe you are correct about Haarlem. We saw both cities and churches on the same trip a couple of years ago. My memory failed me.

Hi Ann!! I was just in Hawaii in December for a quick visit. I thought of you and was even up on the No Shore one day checking out the big waves with a friend. She drove in the crazy traffic. We were on a tight schedule so no time to stop by to visit. I did not have enough time to do so many things I wanted to do while I was there. My main reason for the trip was to spend time with my dad. Hope you are well! Maybe one day we will cross paths in Italy! Much aloha to you too!! susan

First thought -- Portofino. But it's been so long since we've been there that I'm not 100% sure.

Sorry we missed you up here on the North Shore, and you're right, the traffic has been horrible. One evening it took us 50 (yes, fifty) minutes to get to Haleiwa, which is 6 (SIX) miles away.

I've often thought of Joni's song while sitting in the traffic here. Still not many places on earth as beautiful, though.

Portofino is correct!

The traffic is the main reason why I left Hawaii. It often took me 50 mins to travel from my school in Aiea to the freway on ramp the last couple of years I worked there and that’s less than 1 mile!
