Hi there,
I was a mostly-lurker over on the SlowTrav forums but really appreciated all the wonderful information they provided for my past vacation planning (especially to the Cotswolds, Paris and Italy). I am so glad that this site is here to provide similar wisdom on travel to Europe! I can't afford to travel nearly as often as I'd like, but fortunately I live in Maine so I have lots of beautiful sites close at hand when the budget doesn't allow for transatlantic flights.
This October my mother, husband and I are going to be returning to Italy (after visiting Florence and Venice back in 2009) , which is what led me sign up here. I'm looking forward to perusing the Italy forum for tips and suggestions! We're going to be staying in Venice (4 nights), Rome (3 nights) and Positano (4 nights). Not quite a slow trip, I know!
