Help with France trip, end of May

It is so intense, figuring out a trip quickly and then when you are done, a let down. And then the doubts arrive. Maybe we should have gone to Italy? I had thought a week in Umbria and a week in Le Marche this year. We should have taken the train instead of flying!! But - too late - all is booked.

Now I have to start thinking about a fall trip. The upside of living in England - we can do 2 - 3 shorter trips instead of the epic 5 - 10 week trips we used to do. But it is easier to put off the planning.

I will report back (a lot probably) about the places we rented.

Silly isn't it that we second guess ourselves after spending a multitude of hours deciding on just the right apt, journey & sites to see. Nonetheless we do it anyway.
Must be the excitement or "let down"between first thought and the actual departure date that throws us into that proverbial tizzy. However, look at the bookmarks that have been created in doing so.

The obvious answer is to start researching the next one - will it be Umbria? Such an advantage for you living in England. Must speak to my DH about that!
