Ibis London Blackfriars Hotel - anyone stayed there in past couple of years?

I'm finally planning my trip to London and am considering the Ibis London Blackfriars hotel at 49 Blackfriars Road in Southwark. I'm a solo traveler planning to stay 9-10 nights. Any feedback from folks who have been there is much appreciated!

Hi Kathy,
I make several trips to London each year although fewer this year than I’d like because of transport strikes, protests etc.
I live in Surrey so strictly speaking staying over night is an indulgence but I love the city & it’s galleries in particular. I am a lone traveller now and often choose one of the hotels in this group
www.apexhotels.co.uk.
My favourite is “ Temple Court” with easy access to London Waterloo for example.. Prices seem similar to The Ibis in Blackfriars & come with coffee machines & good size very comfortable rooms. They’ve recently sold one of their 3 London hotels close to St Paul’s Cathedral but still a good choice if the area suits.( Clayton London Wall I believe.)
Sorry I can’t help you with your original choice.
I used to stay at The Resident in Covent Garden which comes with its own mini kitchen when it first opened but prices have zoomed of course!
I’ve always felt safe at these hotels and also The Academy Townhouse in Bloomsbury. The latter offers single rooms but they would be too small for your extended stay & the bigger rooms may be a little more than The Ibis.
