Ideas for Italy and Surrounds - Maybe a Language Immersion Program?

I did a 10-day immersion with Luisa in Bologna—small group, tons of conversation, and great cultural extras. If you lean toward Emilia Romagna, it’s a perfect fit for both language and food lovers!
I'm locked into a program in Viareggio on the coast near Pisa, East of Liguria. Thank you for your advice however. I'm sure it will help others, and Emilia Romagna is next on my list! Thank you.

Thanks all. Some good suggestions, but for me the idea of being surrounded by the language with someone to guide me would be awesome. Half a day tuition and then the rest of the day/evening wandering and practicing sounds good to me. I just wondered if anyone had had some experience with this sort of program good or bad?
Yes, I took a 3 week Spanish Immersion class and lived with a local family. We had total immersion classes, no English, n the mornings and field trips in the afternoons or evenings. It was wonderful.
I’m looking into an Italian one in Turin next year. There are at least 2 there. Just Google “Italian Immersion schools in Italy.”

In the end I have booked a Monday to Friday course with Scuola Leonardo Da Vinci and have taken the accommodation package. As we say in Australia, I think the accommodation is a bit of a Lucky Dip (Lottery) since it is very cheap. They have said it is very basic. I'll have my own room and I'll be sharing a kitchen with 4-5 others. But hey, I've stayed in some interesting places before. There's at least one excursion to another village/city and a pizza night planned for the Thursday night. I'll let you know how it goes.
That’s the school I’m thinking of going to in Torino. Let me know how you like it.
