Hello,

I am trying to find where Trenitalia’s weekly discount code is published - in Australia I am geoblocked from using the Trenitalia app or register for ticket purchases.
So, where is the discount code published please.

ITALO TRENO has now uploaded it weekly special discount promotion with code "MAGIA", for additional discounts of between 20% to 30%. You must purchase tickets prior to December 23 at 19:00 Italy time, and travel between January 1 and April 15, 2025.

https://www.italotreno.com/it/promo-week

For example, you can travel between Roma Termini and Firenze SMN for as little as 10.40 Euros ("Extra Christmas" discount fare plus the "MAGIA" coupon).

These weekly coupon discount promotions are typically posted online each FRIDAY. Take advantage of them!!! Compare ITALO's fares with those of rival Trenitalia.

For added protection, I recommend choosing the PARTIAL REFUND OPTION (called "Opzione Rimborso") which permits you to cancel the trip FOR ANY REASON within 72 hours prior to the train departure time, and get an 80% refund. The feature costs around 2.50 Euros per traveler per train and must be purchased simultaneously with the ticket. It is offered with discounted fares which are not otherwise partially refundable.

(Since the ticket example noted above costs only 10.40 Euros, some travelers might even opt to go without the partial discount option).
Thanks for the heads-up about the Italo promo — much appreciated! I’ve been keeping an eye on Trenitalia as well, but haven’t seen a matching offer from them this week yet. It’s interesting how Italo consistently releases Friday deals, while Trenitalia seems a bit less predictable.

For those asking — Trenitalia doesn’t always use promo codes like Italo does. Their offers are usually found directly on their homepage or under the “Le Frecce” section. You can also try browsing their Italian-language site (using a VPN if you're geo-blocked), as some promos are listed there earlier or exclusively. Sadly, their offers can be more limited or route-specific.

And yes — for fares this low, that optional refund feature with Italo is such a smart add-on. Especially useful for folks with flexible plans.

Thank you Andrew - that link obviously only gives the code in the Italian language front page but still gives the discount when I use the English translation of the page. Thanks for your reply.
