Information La Via dell'Amore Reopen - Cinque Terre - Italy

[The heart of Cinque Terre]

On Valentine's Day, La Via dell'Amore, a scenic pathway connecting Manarola and Riomaggiore, reopened to the public after months of closure.

Starting Friday February 14, visitors can access the pathway for free from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, making it a perfect spot for couples and nature lovers.
However, beginning Saturday, reservations and an entrance fee will be required due to new regulations following a landslide that closed the path since October 26.

The Liguria Region has implemented safety measures, including reinforced rockfall nets, to protect visitors.

The reopening not only restores normalcy for the local community but also invites everyone to enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Cinque Terre.

This exciting and picturesque route offers breathtaking views and showcases a remarkably unique and wonderful area of Liguria, a region that stands as one of the proudest examples of UNESCO Heritage. It truly is a jewel that possesses no equal in the world, captivating visitors with its stunning landscapes and rich cultural history.

I thought the big landslide was almost 10 years ago.

After a lengthy closure of 12 years, during which time the trail underwent extensive safety and restoration efforts, this iconic route has finally reopened to the public.

February 15 – March 29 9:00–18:00 (last admission 17:30)
March 30th – May 31st: 9:00 – 20:00 (last admission 19:30)
June 1st – October 25th: 9:00 – 21:30 (last admission 21:00)

IMPORTANT:
The entrance to the Via dell'Amore is located in Riomaggiore and is one-way up to Manarola.
Free for disabled people* and children 0-3 years
You must show the relevant certification at the ticket control.

Ticket Price
The entrance to the Via dell'Amore can be purchased online and on-site only with an additional fee of €10 associated with each type of the Cinque Terre Card.
There is currently no separate ticket available exclusively for the Via dell'Amore.
