Hello,
we are travelling on American passports from London to France, I hope.
Does anyone know the Covid requirements? Proof of vaccination, negative trst, proof of antibodies?

The official sites exhausted me. Lol

thanks

Your passport doesn’t matter. What matters is where you were for the past 14 (maybe 10) days.

France is currently open to UK residents who are vaccinated. No test needed. But things change quickly. This page is kept updated and you can receive email notification of changes.

AND currently you have to quarantine on return from France! That is the UK government decision.

From that page:

The UK is currently on the French amber list. Entry requirements are different depending on whether you are fully vaccinated or not.

Travellers who are fully vaccinated do not need an essential reason to travel to France and do not need to self-isolate on arrival. From 18 July, fully vaccinated adults no longer need to present evidence of a negative test result before travel. Fully vaccinated travellers will need to present the following documents:
  • a completed ‘sworn statement’ (déclaration sur l’honneur) form self-certifying they are not suffering from symptoms associated with coronavirus and have not been in contact with confirmed cases in the preceding fortnight. This can be found on the French government’s website
  • proof of vaccination status

Demonstrating your COVID-19 vaccination status

France will accept the UK’s solutions, including both digital and paper certification, to demonstrate your COVID vaccination status at the border.

Travel from France to the UK
If you intend to travel to England, Scotland, or Wales, including UK nationals returning home from travel abroad, you must provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result, taken up to 3 days before departure. If you do not comply (and you do not have a valid exemption) your airline or carrier may refuse you boarding and/or you may be fined on arrival. You can access tests in France via the French government’s website. Travellers will then be subject to quarantine measures in place in the UK upon entry.

It is so confusing and changes so often that I lose track.

And I may be wrong because I see now that page starts with “This page reflects the UK government’s understanding of current rules for people travelling on a full ‘British Citizen’ passport, for the most common types of travel.”

Are you living in the UK or traveling from the US to the UK and then to France?

Americans going to France only need to show that they are vaccinated, same as Brits. Your CDC card is good.

As of June 17, fully vaccinated travelers coming from the United States (as well as minor children under 17 accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent or guardian) can enter France with proof of vaccination and a sworn statement they do not have symptoms of COVID-19 nor contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Currently only the Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are accepted. Full vaccination occurs two weeks after the second dose of the Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccine, and four weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson. No pre-departure COVID test or quarantine is required. NOTE: At this time, we do not have official information from the French government, but the French Consulate General in Washington, D.C. said in a tweet that the CDC card is acceptable evidence of vaccination for entry into France.
