Morocco: some updated recommendations, please!

Dear travel friends,
I'm wanting to spin off to Morocco for just a few days in May, while I visit my Italy community. Knowing nothing about this exotic country I'd love to hear some post covid suggestions (many archived conversations seem outdated). Which city best embodies the history, culture, art (not too interested in beaches as I love near one). I know these are opinions and preferences but I trust this community and love hearing from you all!

We went to Morocco twice [pre Covid] and I really enjoyed it == Fez of course, Chefchaouan, Rabat, Marrakesh, Essaouira - that is probably too much for a few days, but perhaps you can test a couple of cities and see how. you like it -- Good luck!!
