Paris CDG terminal transfers & passport control

Air France has changed the CDG to Venice leg of my upcoming trip so I only have an hour between arrival from the U.S. and departure. We arrive in terminal E and fly out of terminal F. We will need to go through passport control as part of getting to terminal F. Does anyone know if we will need to exit the secure zone and go through security again or do they now have passage between these terminals, including passport control, that is all within the secure zone?

Thanks Andrew! I guess I need to hope for both an on time arrival and short security lines at this transitioning passenger check. The only other flight to Venice that day is between 3 and 4 hours later. As I think I've mentioned on this board, my husband and I are travelling with our 16 year old niece and we are hoping for a good experience for her - a multi-hour layover in CDG and getting into Venice late in the day don't make for a fun start to a trip :-).
