@joe you have a point! hard to take a bad photo in so many parts of our beautiful world. I recently bought the IPhone xs and LOVE the camera....looking forward to taking oodles of pictures next month when I go to London and then on to the Cotswolds.

Alas, my cellphone is a lowly Asus Zenfone Max 4 or something, cost me about $100. I have a good camera for when I need one (Ricoh GR), but on Saturday's hike I decided to leave it at home, in order not to distract myself by taking pictures......had to return relatively quickly before the temp. hit 40 degrees!

Dates ripening, it's harvest time. Some even have @Pauline 's name on them....

Summer is coming to an end here in Virginia... The hummingbirds are loading up to return on there journey back to Central America. They may have to wait until Hurricane Dorian slips by the Virginia Coast.

It seems like it has been overcast and raining since we got home at the end of September. We had a hot, sunny and dry summer, but this autumn is much wetter than usual. Here is a photo up the road from us when we did a short walk inbetween showers.
