Aha! I'm sure that most of the really good ones can only be rented for longer periods, which would exclude us.

I imagine that there are quite a few really good apartments which are only let for longer periods, but those conditions will exclude us.

On a different slant, while you are around Valencia and willing to hire a car, a wonderful thing to do would be to drive out to the area around Teruel - (about 90min drive). Teruel is gorgeous and from there you can go on to the divine little village of Albarracin - we stopped there for 1 night and extended it to 3, we loved it so much! And there are other places to stop along the way - Can't remember them now but we stopped at one town and happened upon a little festival.
