Walter / Ireland

I haven't and didn't know about his tours as they don't get mentioned on either Trip Advisor or Rick Steve's Ireland forums. They do get very good reviews on Trip Advisor (although many of the contributors don't have many reviews under their belt...) Apart from the 20% single supplement(which is always a killer and this does seem high compared with other companies) there don't seem to be any other hidden charges as all entry fees are included. ras as all entry fees are included. I also like the sound of 10-15 group size, but check out how long you spend on the bus as some days do seem to involve a lot of driving....

Thank you for that analysis

Great points. He seems to have been around along time.. Might be he is a smaller company and does not get a lot of push on the internet??

YES! We used Walter and loved him! We had a great group of people and several of us are still in touch via FB! Highly recommended!

We've been to Ireland a few times: the first was on our own, using RS itinerary as a guide. Our next trip was to Northern Irleland, and we used Rabbies. My only disappointment with Rabbies was that because they offer several loddging (and price) options, everyone slept in different places, which IMO, kept us from getting to know everyone.

Our tour with Walter's Way was the southern portion because on our first trip Art had done all the driving, so this gave him the opportunity to sit back and enjoy the scenery. I think we only stayed for 2 consecutive nights once (Killarney, I think), but it allowed people to do laundry, so that was a plus. I do love the idea of 2 nights in each place!

We didn't pick what we did each day - Walter had a great itinerary, and when bad weather changed our plans one day, he had a great alternative lined up. I don't really remember stairs! I'm sure if you contacted Walter he could give you details. Hope you have a great time!

Thank you for all that great info

One reason I am looking at Walter,,, is the two night stay. Have not done a tour in forever, but I was not looking forward to moving cities everyday! So appears Walter is our person!!!
