2025 Travel Plans?

We have signed up for a "Go Slow " nature tour to Central Greece. It is a week in one location on the Pelion Peninsula spending time going on wildflower and birding walks. We really enjoyed our last nature tour to Puglia and are looking forward to our trip. We meet the group in London so we will spend a couple of days in London before and after. I'll be checking out how to get the UK ETA soon.
sounds like a fabulous adventure!

Marta, thanks so much for your response. That is not quite the trip my wife and I would do, but I appreciate the info and glad you and hubby loved it!

So far in 2025 I’ll be based in Dublin for 2+ weeks at the end of this month. Then a surprise trip through Journee 10 days in April. I’ll move from my winter nest in Gloucester Massachusetts to my cottage in Maine at the end of April. Hopefully 6 weeks or so in Italy in the fall.

We'll be in Umbria this fall too! Where do you stay?
Hi Barb! My sister lives in Florence, her in-laws in Rome, one of my nieces lives in Milan, I have friends in Catania and Palermo, so I’m pretty much set for places to stay in those places. I don’t have an itinerary or dates yet. Glad to hear you’ll be going back to Umbria!

We're just going to go to New York in May since we've never been to a broadway play there, nor have we visited the Art Museums. We drove through once when we were going to a wedding in upstate New York and we stopped for Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral and took a carriage ride in Central Park. We also went to see the Pope in Yankee Stadium once. Oh, I forgot, we also spent the night in a hotel close to La Guardia Airport before our transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary Cunard Ship.l
We also want to go back to Lyon, France this year, maybe in September or October, since we both had Covid when we were there before. :(

If you're planning on Sydney in January, happy to show you around.

Hi, will be in Sydney area in mid February. Have been there a couple times before. This time, will rent a car and explore the southern NSW coast, like south of Royal National Park.

We'll still be around in February and off to the Atlantic coast of France in March.
If you haven't visited Watsons Bay and South Head before and have the time, we'd love to share it with you.

Been up there a couple of times.

I hiked up to the area around the colorful Hornby Lighthouse.

I think I took the ferry once and other times the bus.

The area I haven't been to is North Head, though I've been to Manly and some of the Northern Beaches.

I've rented a car for the days I'll be there so will see how far down the coast I get, weather permitting.

So far, among the coastal walks I've seen in Australia, the Bondi to Coogee is still one of the best, with some elevated sections giving great views. I've done coastal walks in Noosa and also the Gold Coast. But there are nice cafes overlooking the ocean that you can stop at to eat or get something to drink between Bondi and Coogee.

On this trip, I hope to also see more of the coast near Torquay (I've been to the GOR as far as Twelve Apostles) and the Mornington Peninsula as well.
