Love your photos. This is our apartments dock.
We had to move because the water poured in, not from the canal door which had a barrier, but from holes in the bathroom, laundry and bedroom floor.

Yesterday would have been a good baking day but I was too preoccupied by the rising water. So this afternoon, I did some baking.

We try to eat healthy in between the gelato, tiramisu, prosciuto, bresaula, mortadella........

Today at around midday, while resting on one of the benches in Campo San Stefano enjoying the sunshine, we started chatting with another American couple from Seattle. They have been coming to Venice annually for thirty years. This trip started in Scotland (small cruise ship) and then to Mogliano Italy where they met with friends and picked up a car and did a road trip through Slovenia and Croatia, ending this trip in Venice. They have been married for 58 years and still traveling!

Our walk today took us to Campo Santa Maria Formosa, pass San Giorgio dei Greci and to Campo de la Bragora

We rested on one of the benches in Campo de la Bragora, enjoying the sunshine and chatting with a young couple from Paris. We then entered the church of San Giovanni in Bragora.

Always amazing to find art treasures in the churches.

November 4, 2018 is the "giornata dell’unità nazionale e giornata delle forze armate" - Day of National Unity and Day of Armed Forces. To commemorate the end of WW1 100 years ago on November 4, 1918, the Palazzo Corner-Mocenigo (currently the regional office of the Guardia di Finanza in Campo San Polo) was opened to the public today for guided tours. The tour was only in Italian.

Woke up to rain this morning. Wish we can just stay in but the apartment is being cleaned this morning, so off we went with our umbrellas. First stop was Caffè del Doge for coffee. Didn't really know where to go (most museums are closed today), so we just started walking. As we were passing the Chiesa di San Polo, came big drops of rain. So, we decided just to visit the church again to see some Tiepolo and Tintorento paintings.
